Philip was appointed General Manager, Javelin Business Unit in 2006 and is responsible for all aspects of the Javelin® card printer operations based in the UK and in Minneapolis, USA.

Philip joined NBS in 1991 as Banking Services Manager, and has held several, ever increasingly key, positions within NBS including EMEA Marketing Director and International Sales Director and was responsible for the launch of the new Javelin® OEM card printer line in 1997.

Philip has professional qualifications in accountancy (member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and marketing (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing). Much of his career prior to joining NBS was spent within the Midland Bank Group (now HSBC), including new product development roles in the travellers cheque and credit card divisions; during this time he was project manager of the UK’s very first live smart card trial … way back in 1983.
